Milan is extremely fortunate to have an outstanding public school system available to its younger residents in the Edison Local Schools. The school district has achieved a designation of EXCELLENT having met 29 of the State of Ohio's 30 indicators. This makes the fifth consecutive year our school system has achieved this high honor and attests to the caliber of education available to our children. 
The school system combined with the Edison Local School system in the late 1960's at which time a new high school was constructed on SR 113 halfway between the two villages. The school system has maintained elementary schools in both Villages with Milan Elementary located at 140 South Main Street. Go Chargers!
